Okay, a LOT of folks didN'T like my last idea--but, I bet SOMETHING like that WOULD/SHOULD WORK, oh, well........
I've been reading all the books on HEAVEN I can find/get my hands on/download on my NEW KINDLE--gift from last Christmas that I just LOVE!!!!!!!!!
And, one thought that came to me the other night is: DO YOU KNOW THE ONE QUESTION that we ask ourselves & each other--even strangers--NOW, in THIS WORLD/ON EARTH that we WON'T EVER NEED TO ASK IN HEAVEN?????????

NEW IDEA--WATER PIPELINE--TO SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS
OKAY! I've had this IDEA before & just shared it with some close family & friends.
NOW, I'm gonna tell ANYONE OUT THERE who reads 'unknown' BLOGS--OK??!!!!!
I am FLAT TIRED of this FLOODING happening YEAR after YEAR after YEAR--always the SAME--SO/TOO MANY HOMES & BUSINESSES DESTROYED or DAMAGED!!!! (And, then MOST of the folks COME BACK & RE-BUILD in the EXACT SAME PLACE--duh?!!!) There's just TOO MUCH WATER in one place at any given time--when the ice up North melts, as our weather gets warmer, every year. We live in Kansas City, KS.
AND, it is equally SAD--VERY SAD--out in our SouthWest where drought & FIRES have NEEDED MORE WATER--DESPERATLY!!!!!!!!!
So, HERE'S MY IDEA: BUILD a BIG PIPELINE that starts up at the top of where the WATER starts to be too much/overflows once it melts in the Summer & bring it all the way down to the specific places that USUALLY have a BIG LACK of WATER during the Summers--Western Texas & points West, even--like to even HELP put OUT the awful, destructive, deadly FIRES that we've had again this year out in Arizona & New Mexico--and even in California!!!!!!!!!
This would NOT have to be built UNDER GROUND-would be quicker, I believe, if it was above ground, with the corrent amount/strength of supports.
NOW, probably the Government might need to 'Oversee' this, but EACH STATE that it goes through and especially HELPS could PROVIDE the HELP/WORKERS to actually DO the BUILDING--which would put LOTS of Americans who are now OUT OF JOBS, BACK TO WORK/GOOD PAYING WORK--"working with their hands"!!!!!!!!
The Environmentalists would have to just KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT & realize that the GOOD this BIG, WATER PIPELINE would do/give to our WHOLE COUNTRY FAR OUTWEIGHS ANY 'damage' that MIGHT be done, temporarily, during the building of it--PLEASE, PLEASE!! Another thought--IF it were permitted for the sides to be PAINTED on/pictures/representing each state--that would involve MORE workers & make it LOOK BETTER--someone else could oversee THIS project.
Also, it could be taken ON DOWN to our Southern BORDER between TX, NM, AZ, & CA & MEXICO & DIG a BIG MOAT for the water to sit/end at & THEN, here's the piece de resistance--move over PLENTY of ALLIGATORS & CROCIDILES--either or both/whatever from the FLORIDA Glades & ADD them to the MOAT & VOILA! We would have SOLVED our MAJOR FLOODING, FIRE, AND ALIENS trying to get into OUR COUNTRY.
This BIG PROJECT--"THE USA WATER-SAVING PIPELINE" probably would even be BETTER origanized & run by a PRIVATE COMPANY--who could hire the workers in each state, as they came through them. Who knows? Maybe, after it WORKED SO WELL, we might decide to BUILD 2--side by side!!!!
And, we would NEED a MAJOR Manufacturing Company to MAKE ALL the pieces that would make up the Pipeline, plus the bindings & screws & supports, which would ALSO EMPLOYEE LOTS of GOOD AMERICANS who are currently WITHOUT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With some smart brains/folks & organization & lots of ideas/possibilities floating around--no pun meant there--ha!--THIS IDEA could put LOTS of us BACK TO WORK & SOLVE some of our MAJOR PROBLEMS in our COUNTRY, TODAY!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking of sending this up to our President & Congressmen, but it doesn't HAVE to START from there--I do NOT CARE WHO decides to TAKE THIS ON--I'd just LIKE to BE REMEMBERED as the GRANDMOTHER of 6 WHO HAD THE FIRST IDEA--MAMAROSE or RORO WILSON--COME ON, SOMEONE--OUT THERE--TAKE THIS & 'GO WITH IT'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"HOME, SWEET HOME!!!"
OKAY--I've thought about THIS ONE so long that instead of being 'long', now it's going to be short!
WHERE is YOUR 'Home, Sweet Home'? Hopefully, at least the HOME/place WHERE you NOW LIVE--but, I also have OTHER 'Home,Sweet HomeS'--like at BOTH our parents' houses/homes, I FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME there, with them--of course, MY folks live in the SAME HOUSE that they moved into when I was 'just' 5 years old, still, which is very nice. AND, my GREAT in-laws live in the SAME ONE they've lived in since 1968!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WONDER!!!!!
Also, I FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME at our 2 sons' homes with their families--VERY MUCH 'AT HOME'--even know how to find most anything in their kitchens, etc.--to be helpful, hopefully.
And, in the homes of my brother & his family in Louisiana & my sister, (really in-law, but she FEELS MORE like my REAL SISTER!), Lisa & her family in Oklahoma, I also FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, there's our GREAT FRIENDS, Judy & Joe, in TX, I FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME in their home with them!!!!!
And, also at the churches we've worshipped our God in, with other sinners--I FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME there!!!!!
Sorry, IF I didn't mention everywhere & everyone WHERE I FEEL AT HOME.......
.....BUT, now--DID YOU BEAT ME HERE?--NONE of them are really EVER GOING TO BE MY HOME, because ALL OF THESE ARE 'TEMPORARY'--we're ALL 'headed' for our ONLY, "HOME SWEET HOME" in ETERNITY WITH OUR GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, UNTIL then, we truly can't FEEL 'AT HOME' ANYWHERE ELSE--even though it MIGHT SEEM LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I'm VERY THANKFUL to have SO MANY HOMES to feel VERY COMFORTABLE 'in'/here ON EARTH, and know they are 'JUST A FORETASTE' of our SUPER WONDERFUL HOME that we're ALL GOING TO SHARE, TOGETHER, IN HEAVEN--either after we die or at the END OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK--I'VE BEEN TAGGED--for the 2nd time, I think...
.....and I tried to 'copy & paste' the RULES, but I couldn't get them to re-print over here, oh, well.........I don't plan on RE-tagging anyone, so that shouldn't matter, right?????!!!!!
# 1--I took weekly PIANO LESSONS and gave monthly (I think they were) RECITALS out of my teacher's house from about 5 to 8 years of age.
# 2--I played with my (innie) belly button for YEARS--Yes, even with DRESSES on--that's one of the LAST times I did--I remember when I was standing in our FRONT yard doing it, with a dress on/UP, and my Mother yelled at me from our kitchen window to 'STOP THAT & PUT MY DRESS DOWN'!!!!!
# 3--I think Larry, my husband of 37 years was ONLY like my 3rd boyfriend & we DID get married in 1971 when I was ONLY 18 & he was 20!!!!!
# 4--At 45 years of age I rode on my FIRST SNOWMOBILE out in Sundance, Utah, and MADE IT to the TOP of the highest MOUNTAIN there at 14,000 FEET--and, that was between FALLING DOWN OFF it--which is supposed to be impossible--TWICE!!!!!!!!! WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
# 5--I had our 2nd/last son NATURALLY--with NO DRUGS--and he weighed in at 8 POUNDS 12 OUNCES--and also said one of the FEW curse words, EVER in my LIFE, when Larry said to--"RELAX & BREATHE DEEPLY"!!!!!!!
# 6--I sometimes get my words up-mixed--BUT, my sister-in-law, Lisa, ALWAYS understands me!!!!!!!!!
# 7--I have MET John Wayne, John Thompson, John Daly, Hale Irwin, Dennis Eckersly, George Brett, Mark Gubizca, Jeff Montgomery, Bill Walsh, Marcus Allen, Joe Montana, Tony Gonzalez, Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, Jared Allen, Boomer Esiason, Joan Rivers, Martin Sheen, Montel Williams, Colin Powell, Stephen Covey, Larry King, John Stossel, Raef LaFrentz, Jimmy Houston (has his own FISHING Show), and MORE........(some who most of you wouldn't know/recognize their names)--NOT BAD, huh, for a 'little' girl from ARKANSAS???!!!!!!!!!!!!!--(I think I did a 'backspace' & when I went to 're-do' my type & print, I didn't get it EXACTLY the same, sorry)

THE 'TIMES' WE'RE IN...
Well, this one may really 'qualify' as 'RAMBLINGS, but.....
My sister-in-law's billfold & keys--thank goodness she left her purse in her car--were STOLEN OUT of her grocery cart the other day & it got me thinking........uh oh......
Anyway, because of our 'failing' Economy, I'm thinking that SOME folks may revert back to their REAL CHARACTER & make the decision to LIE, CHEAT or STEAL to get the money that they don't have & really NEED!!!!!
This saddens me, but it does make sense that 'IN HARD-ER TIMES' our TRUE CHARACTER SHINES THROUGH--whether that be GOOD or BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, since most of you who will read this blog are 'GOOD' people, I guess I'm writing this to 'WARN YOU' to BEWARE of those folks who are NOT!!!!!!!!! BE MORE DILIGENT & TAKE CARE of what you do have--THINK AHEAD & don't make it ANY EASIER for those 'other' folks to TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!
AND, ALSO BE HAPPY that you are NOT one of 'those folks' who would resort to illegal activities, no matter how hard things get!!!!!!!!! And, PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!

SUMMER of 2008--'TAKING IT EASY'!!!!!
This one's about MY LEFT EYE! Yep, if you hadn't heard, I tore my retina AND it was ALSO 'partially detached' & I ended up with 2 'Laser' surgeries & one, BIG, lay-you-down & knock-you-out surgery, which finally fixed it--THANK GOD & Dr. Cassell--(pronounced 'Castle')!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've found out MORE about our PRECIOUS eyes than I EVER KNEW was possible, which is good. The MORE we know about something/of ours/in our bodies, the MORE we APPRECIATE it/them for sure!!!!!!!
So, during all this time--the last 8 weeks or more--I've been TOLD to 'TAKE IT EASY'--well, it seems that I CAN DO THAT pretty easy, as it turns out, BECAUSE my SWEET, SWEET HUSBAND did a BUNCH of 'my' stuff, along with his stressful job of running a Printing Plant & driving almost 2 hours a day, just to get there & back--plus, to 'beat the traffic', he gets us EARLY & leaves here by 6ish in the AM & doesn't get back until after 5 in the afternoon--that's ALMOST a 12-hour day, every day of the week--HE'S A HARD WORKER, that's for sure!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, he was so EXTRA SWEET to ME during all this time. Some days I could see pretty good out of my left eye--other days, it was like there were 2 layers of WAXED PAPER over it!!!!!!!!!!
And, then, right after my 'Vitrectomy'/'REAL' Eye Surgery I had a patch for a day covering it & then my eye lid was SWOLLEN SHUT for another 2 or 3 days & SLOWLY opened up--THANK GOD--OH, there have been LOTS OF PRAYERS said, from us & ALL our family & friends--THANK YOU TO THEM & GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--For giving me PEACE during all my HEALING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, I learned a BIG LESSON along the way, too!!!!!--BESIDES how IMPORTANT our EYES ARE TO US/OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always been pretty PATIENT with others, especially children/ours, as they grew up, I learned that--BUT, for some weird reason, I never have been PATIENT, AT ALL, with MYSELF--especially when I can't 'do' something as WELL as I THINK I SHOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL, I LEARNED through this HOW to be MORE PATIENT with MYSELF!!
YEA!!!!!!!! And, THIS should bode me well as I keep aging!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not saying I've got it 'down'/LICKED, but I am doing SO MUCH BETTER with it/myself than usual/BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, THE BUBBLE. What a SPECIAL 'sign' I had IN my eye that NO ONE ELSE could SEE!!!!!!!!!!
The first bubble I had looked like a puppy's paw--black shape like the back of our hands in a fist & THEN with 4 little circles at the end of where each finger/paw would be--THIS was VERY COOL & the FIRST NIGHT I turned out all the lights, it TURNED PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's PURPOSE, of course, was to KEEP my retina LAID DOWN, so it would heal properly!!!!!
And, yes, Dr. Cassell put it IN my eye with a SYRINGE & YES, the FIRST one hurt so BADLY, for a SECOND, that I ALMOST came OUT of my CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!! They kept telling me the first 2 surgeries/laser were PAINLESS--and, I TOLD THEM, IT WASN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, the 2nd BUBBLE, after the 'real' surgery--I call it that because it was the ONLY one where I laid down & GOT DRUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!--It was SO BIG in the beginning that it covered ALL the inside of my eye & I didn't SEE ANYTHING out of my left eye for almost 2 weeks--YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's NOTHING like LOSING an ability that you've had for over 50 years to REALLY MISS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, I MISSED SEEING out of my LEFT EYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, I'll ALWAYS REMEMBER that day--Sunday, coming out of Cracker Barrel, when I realized I COULD SEE--halfway--OUT of my LEFT EYE, AGAIN--YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
BUT, during all this tme, was I SURE NOT to 'over-do' & NOT to lift more than 25 pounds--Larry got to telling others I was doing SO WELL that I MUST have decided that my ARM WEIGHED 20 pounds, because I wasN'T hardly lifting ANYTHING over 5 pounds--ha!!!!!!!!!!! CUTE!!!!!
But, as I quickly found out, there's a REASON for everything they TELL you--it HURT/I FELT big PRESSURE in that eye when I first leaned down to 'casually' pick something up off our floor.
So, your body/my eye TELLS you what you can & can't do, too!!!!!!!!!
And, they also told me I could NOT fly--like for our BIG VACATION to Myrtle Beach in August--WITH the BUBBLE--and, THANK GOD, AGAIN, since last Monday, it's now GONE--I do miss it!!!
Every day was different, in some way, and I tried NOT to get depressed & NOT to gain a bunch of weight--and, was successful in BOTH those things, which I'm VERY HAPPY about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ended up being able to READ quite a bit, so I 'tore though' some books & was reading MUCH MORE than 'normal'--which CLICKED my brain IN & therefore, I began THINKING about some PRETTY DEEP things--NEAT, huh??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I even surprised Larry a few times, with the THINGS I was thinking--maybe sometimes funny, I'm sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, I was able to BE/get into a 'QUIET' spot where I 'lived' most of the time--JUST 'TAKING IT EASY'!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!! And, there are GREAT things to be said for 'QUIET' times!
Most of us don't even GET the CHANCE to get/be there, most of the time--we're SO BUSY with things we HAVE to do or the other, 'URGENT' things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO, this Summer of 2008 & my 'TAKING IT EASY' because of my injured eye--oh, Dr. Cassell says these things 'just happen'/'AS WE AGE' (uggh!)--NOTHING I did or COULD have done DIFFERENTLY to change things--which is GOOD to know--has been a VERY GOOD SUMMER/time for me & has STRENGTHENED MY FAITH & TRUST IN & DEPENDENCE ON & LOVE FOR OUR AWESOME GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, has REMINDED me what a SUPER WONDERFUL HUSBAND I've been BLESSED to have/live with the last (almost) 38 YEARS & ALSO what a SUPER WONDERFUL FAMILY & GROUP OF FRIENDS we also have--who PRAYED for me & ENCOURAGED me & sent me cards & let me know they were 'concerned' for me & LOVED ME/us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU to ALL OF YOU!!!
Hope your Summer of 2008 has been MEMORABLE--for different reasons, of course--TOO!!!!!!

We've found out MORE about our PRECIOUS eyes than I EVER KNEW was possible, which is good. The MORE we know about something/of ours/in our bodies, the MORE we APPRECIATE it/them for sure!!!!!!!
So, during all this time--the last 8 weeks or more--I've been TOLD to 'TAKE IT EASY'--well, it seems that I CAN DO THAT pretty easy, as it turns out, BECAUSE my SWEET, SWEET HUSBAND did a BUNCH of 'my' stuff, along with his stressful job of running a Printing Plant & driving almost 2 hours a day, just to get there & back--plus, to 'beat the traffic', he gets us EARLY & leaves here by 6ish in the AM & doesn't get back until after 5 in the afternoon--that's ALMOST a 12-hour day, every day of the week--HE'S A HARD WORKER, that's for sure!!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, he was so EXTRA SWEET to ME during all this time. Some days I could see pretty good out of my left eye--other days, it was like there were 2 layers of WAXED PAPER over it!!!!!!!!!!
And, then, right after my 'Vitrectomy'/'REAL' Eye Surgery I had a patch for a day covering it & then my eye lid was SWOLLEN SHUT for another 2 or 3 days & SLOWLY opened up--THANK GOD--OH, there have been LOTS OF PRAYERS said, from us & ALL our family & friends--THANK YOU TO THEM & GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--For giving me PEACE during all my HEALING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, I learned a BIG LESSON along the way, too!!!!!--BESIDES how IMPORTANT our EYES ARE TO US/OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always been pretty PATIENT with others, especially children/ours, as they grew up, I learned that--BUT, for some weird reason, I never have been PATIENT, AT ALL, with MYSELF--especially when I can't 'do' something as WELL as I THINK I SHOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JURY DUTY & BIBLE CLASS.....
I was going to write about being 'called' for JURY DUTY, again--I served back in June of 1996. BUT, since I didN'T even GET PICKED to serve--at the 'Voir dere'--on Monday & not sure WHY, even--INSTEAD I've decided to pass on something REALLY GOOD that 'happened' in our 5th Grade Bible Class at church this past Sunday.
Our lesson was on The 10 Commandments, Exodus 20 & since we have quite a few really SMART students in our 20 or so who come every week, I'm repeatedly AMAZED by some of their questions. Well, when we got down to # 6--"You shall NOT murder"--I didn't figure there would be much discussion on this one--pretty clear cut, right??!!!!!--Well, I WAS SURPRISED--because one girl brought up SUICIDE!!!!!!!!!
And, as we discussed THAT subject further, NONE of them had ever even had it CROSS THEIR MINDS, YET--thank goodness--but, as we discussed it, I found a RARE & GOOD OPPORTUNITY to help them, later in their lives IF it EVER did 'come up'--I had them ALL raise their right hands & 'PROMISE', YES, PROMISE, OUT LOUD, that IF/when suicide EVER DID cross their minds, that they would TALK WITH SOMEONE--and, it didn't have to be their parents.
I went on to explain that IF these thoughts were in their minds, they were NOT THINKING 'RIGHT' & that's WHY it would be so URGENT that they TALK WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! These kids are 10 & 11 years old, so besides being SO GLAD that NONE of them had thought about suicide, YET; I felt REALLY GOOD about--MAYBE/HOPEFULLY--heading off ANY FUTURE problems that they MIGHT have with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is 'one of those times/things' that just 'HAPPENED'--I had NOT planned this, at all, and just 'went with things' as they FLOWED from the students' questions--so, because of that, I feel like/THINK that THIS WAS A 'GOD-THING'--FROM GOD/HIS SPIRIT--that we even talked about it & that I thought to get them to SAY they would ASK for help!!!!!!!
You may think this was TOO SOON--5th Grade--but, I HAVE heard of kids in as low as 3rd Grade having these thoughts. And, can you just IMAGINE how LOST an 8-year-old FEELS if/when that happens to them??!!!!!!!!!
And, as I've ALWAYS thought/felt--the SOONER the better--when talking to ALL our kids about LIFE & the things they MAY end up facing in THEIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!! We NEED to ARM them with INFORMATION before they NEED it, so they will HAVE it WHEN they NEED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR at least TELL them WHERE they can FIND it!!!!!
This was VERY ENCOURAGING to me, so I thought it would be a GOOD THING to PASS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all are doing/feelng well. We're doing great--I'm FINALLY WELL--I'm pretty sure--almost 'afraid' to SAY it--ha!

WE'VE GOT A NEW GRANDBABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
His name is ANDREW THOMAS--and, we're calling him, DREW--he is SO VERY CUTE--was 'only' 6 lbs. 15 oz., but 19 3/4 inches & was born on Friday, March 28th!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mom & Dad & BIG brother are all doing well--and, so are we--he is our 4th GRANDbaby & they just get BETTER & BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having had 2 boys, this DOUBLES our own 'count'!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a 'God-thing', huh??!!!!!!!
Besides BRAGGING, like a GRANDMother is SUPPOSED to do--I wanted to pass along what I THOUGHT when I heard the other day that the World WRESTLING Association was inducting folks into THEIR 'HALL OF FAME'--It's GOT TO BE NEAR the "END OF TIME"--don't you think????!!!!!!!!! Their WHOLE THING is based on something 'FAKE'--even they admit that!!!! I DO--THIS has GOT TO BE A 'SIGN'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO, hope all of you 'out there' reading this have your SOULS in 'good shape'/WHERE you WANT them to be--ALL OBEDIENT & LOVING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our lives ARE 'but a VAPOR' just like the Bible says, anyway, so one way or the other, NONE of us has very long LEFT here on this Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH, also, I just HAD to write about HOW VERY PROUD we are of OUR KANSAS JAYHAWKS!!!!
I KNOW, it's JUST a GAME, but 'we' are PLAYING in the FINAL GAME of the YEAR tonight & HAVE a chance to be THE ONLY TEAM who ends this year of College Basketball WITH A WIN--everyone else loses their last game--makes WINNING THIS ONE even BIGGER, huh??!!!!!!!!!
We have a BUNCH of GREAT guys & SUPER athletes on this team, who have been through LOTS of trials, already, in their YOUNG lives--Darnell Jackson, alone has lost 3 of his family members in the last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!--that's WHY he 'beats' his chest 3 times after he makes a free throw or a GREAT shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, they're ALL really 'GOOD GUYS'--as is OUR COACH--BILL SELF--who's never BEEN to the Final Four, BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And, the BIGGEST difference with THIS team is that they've PLAYED 'AS A TEAM' this whole year--that's why NONE of them even 'made' the All-Conference Team--no ONE of them has made the MOST points or rebounds every game--they TOTALLY have 'SHARED THE BALL'!!! So, forget about ANY of them 'MAKING' the "All-American" Team, which 4 or 5 of them COULD HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, even IF they don't win tonight--WHICH I HOPE THEY DO--they have had a SUPER YEAR & CAREER, the ones that will be going on to the NBA--probably 4 or 5 of them--after this year & I'm sure they have made LOTS of GREAT MEMORIES & FRIENDS along the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK--SPORTS FANS--I'VE GOT A NEW POST--ON LIFE!!!!!
I've been thinking about THIS one for a LONG time, now & gonna kinda 'do' 3 together!!!!! Hope it's not too long & whoever reads this can UNDERSTAND it--ha!!!!!
I have been thinking about HOW FRAGILE our LIVES here on Earth ARE!!!!! Oh, yeah, some folks seem to be able to DRINK so much ALCOHOL & DO so many DRUGS that you WONDER how their livers & kidneys & brains & hearts are STILL WORKING--but, really our lives are LIKE a THIN FISHING LINE that is STRUNG through this World & at times, it SEEMS like it doesn't 'take' much AT ALL to BREAK/END them!!!!!!!!!
And, at best, the average age men die at is 72 and it's 79 for the women--that's STILL NOT LONG in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it????? Our lives ARE 'but a vapor' that 'appears for a little while & then, IT'S GONE'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO, WHAT ARE WE DOING WITH OUR LIVES--THE ONLY ONE WE GET HERE?????!!!!!!!!! And, I'm NOT talking about your 'job' or 'career'--I'm talking about WHAT ARE YOU DOING with the part OF YOU that's GOING TO LIVE FOREVER?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, it's SO VERY TRUE--we all MAY have had parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, teachers, preachers, friends and even 'good' Christians friends and family--BUT, REALLY, WHO CAN WE GO TO who is ALWAYS THERE & ALWAYS WILLING & PREPARED TO HELP US--with JUST WHAT WE NEED????? NO ONE BUT OUR AWESOME & MERCIFUL GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have just realized in the last month or so, that I am (finally) 'at' a PLACE in my life where I am 'TRULY CONTENT'--MORE THAN EVER in my life & it's a VERY GOOD 'place' TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO 'at peace' with my life--OH, I'M NOT PERFECT, YET--won't be UNTIL I REACH MY FINAL GOAL OF HEAVEN--but, I am so VERY HAPPY--surely 'you' don't have to be '55' to get there, like me--SO, I WISH YOU ALL will 'FIND THIS PLACE' in your lives & GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT MATTERS 'WHO' SAYS SOMETHING!!!!!
I have been thinking about 'this one' for over a month or more & it's kinda short, but STILL VERY IMPORTANT, I think:
"IT MATTERS WHO SAYS SOMETHING"--I re-discovered this at Tony Gonzalez's Charity Dinner & Auction about 6 weeks ago. He & ALL the other CHIEFS players who were there were VERY NICE to all of us 'fans' & were making PICTURES with ALL OF US with NO FUSS!!!!!!!!
They just weren't giving out ANY autographs, which is no big deal to me--I'd MUCH RATHER have a PICTURE made WITH THEM!!!!!!!!! In fact, Donnie Edwards--MY FAVORITE PLAYER--made OUR picture HIMSELF--because his arms are PLENTY long enough!!!!!!!!! And, I got to VISIT with him for over 10 minutes TWO different times that night!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think he MIGHT even REMEMBER me, now!!!!!!!!! MEETING HIM MADE MY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LJ--Larry Johnson, our GREAT Running Back, was also there & I got a picture with him--I had met him before, but not had a picture made with him--he even had on a colorful tie & I told him his Mother WOULD BE PROUD of how he looked/was dressed!!!!! He's EXTRA SHY!!!!!!!!--I think, now, THAT'S WHY he doesn't talk with reporters most of the time!!!!!!!!!
Of course, I also had my picture made with Tony G & Wanda, from Larry's work--Tony is HER favorite player!!!!!!!!! Will Shields came in later, but wasn't quite as friendly that night--our Team was 0 - 2 at that time. THEN, as we were eating in the BIG Ball room, JARED ALLEN came in & I went back & had my picture made with him, ALSO--he's a GIANT & SO NICE!!!!!!!!!--AND SOBER, which is GREAT for him!!!!!!!!!--should HELP keep him OUT of 'trouble'!!!!!
Anyway, when we were all still standing out in the hallway & about halfway through ALL the picture taking, a smallish man came up to me & said: "They've asked that YOU don't make ANY MORE pictures"--well, since folks were STILL making pictures, I didn't pay ANY attention to him & made some more, just of Tony STANDING THERE, by himself--AND, the man CAME UP TO ME--no one else that I ever saw--and SAID THE SAME THING, AGAIN--THAT TIME I asked him: "JUST WHO ARE YOU?" And, he said he was WITH the Charity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, obviously, my POINT IS THIS: IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT HE WAS SAYING, BECAUSE HE HAD NO AUTHORITY OVER ANYONE/ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, I was not getting in ANYONE'S WAY--I never did figure out WHY he ONLY approached me with that statement!!!!!
BUT, AS WE ALSO ALL KNOW--IT TOTALLY MATTERS WHAT GOD SAID/SAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALWAYS HAS, ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO, as I learned, AGAIN, that night--IT MATTER "WHO" is SAYING "WHAT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That small man was TRYING to assert his authority over me, but ONLY GOD HAS AUTHORITY OVER ME--AND ALL OF US, FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a VERY GOOD 'thing' to be REMINDED OF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DEBORAH NORVILLE BEAT ME 'TO IT'!!!!!!!!!!
She's got a NEW BOOK just 'out' entitled 'THANK YOU POWER' that talks about HOW MUCH HAPPIER you will/can be WHEN you are MORE grateful/THANKFUL!!!!!!!!!
She did/does have a lot of 'Scientific' stuff/FACTS in there--that I didn't/wouldn't have access to, yet, but THE IDEA was the SAME as my LAST BLOG--we are/will be HAPPIER the more THANKFUL/GRATEFUL TO GOD we are for ALL OUR BLESSINGS!!!!!!!!!
How about that????!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was just on "Hannity & Colmes" (sp?)--Alan, anyway, saying that we ALL need to be MORE Thankful/Grateful for the 'LITTLE things' in our lives & I TOTALLY AGREE with her!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, if we're not TRYING to be AWARE of them, they'll just PASS US BY & we won't even RECOGNIZE/ACKNOWLEDGE them that they are/WERE EVEN IN OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I'm looking forward to buying & reading her book & gaining even MORE knowledge about it all!!!!!!!!! And, you just might WANT TO, TOO--that's WHY I wrote THIS blog!!!!!!!!
Last weekend most of our family met in Branson, MO, for a 'BD BASH WEEKEND' for ME--I'll be '55' on the 9th, next Tuesday, and my parents 'hosted' us ALL--9 adults & 3 children--at their Time Share there. We had a WONDERFUL TIME visiting & catching up & now, THIS WEEKEND, our youngest son, Matt & his GREAT Wife, AJ, and their FANTASTIC son, Adam, are coming HERE to visit & go to the Chiefs/Jacksonville Game on Sunday with us--So, I've got ANOTHER SUPER WEEKEND ahead of me & am ALREADY VERY THANKFUL & GRATEFUL for it/them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, GOD, for my GREAT LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, for ALL OUR HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"THANK YOU, GOD" FOR CABO!!!!!
Well, I'm BACK--sorry for not blogging for so long--but, part of my reason is that we've been "OUT OF THE COUNTRY"--we spent a week with our best friends in Cabo San Lucas, MEXICO!!!
This was the closest COLOR I could pick that matched the water/Ocean/SEA OF CORTEX, there.
And, it was WONDERFUL--so far, MY ALL-TIME BEST VACATION--so, I would definitely recommend it to ANYONE!!! Larry thought things/food were too expensive, but the most expensive things were at the CostCo Store, there--go figure??!!!!! A flat of water was like $33!!!!
Besides the GORGEOUS SCENERY--our Condo/balcony was RIGHT ACROSS from the rocks that form the 'El Arco' that's the FAMOUS ARCH at the VERY end of the pennisula, there, and you CAN'T drive to it--you can ONLY get to it by boat or jet ski!!!
So, we got our closest to it on a SUNSET Dinner Cruise that was just FANTASTIC--with great food & entertainment--singing & dancing--2 different Mexican couples who were GREAT!!!!!
And, then we got CLOSE-UPs of the ARCH!!!!! SO VERY NEAT!!!!
Every day & LOTS of times DURING every day we were there I THANKED GOD for letting me be able to visit such a WONDERFUL CREATION of HIS & then, as folks waited on us & we took taxis to & from our GREAT HOTEL--Villa Del Palmar--I always THANKED those guys, so I found myself THANKING someone LOTS of times EVERY DAY & now that I'm back home.......
I've been thinking about that & WONDERING if in DOING THAT is PART of what made that vacation SO SUPER!!!!!!!!! Have you read the article on 'BEING GRATEFUL' in the most recent 'Reader's Digest'? It's titled--"How the New Science of THANK YOU Can CHANGE YOUR LIFE"--and, then on the front it's 'under' "The MOST IMPORTANT WORDS YOU'LL SAY TODAY"!!!!!
The BEST part of the article, I thought, was where it listed ALL the THINGS being GRATEFUL will do FOR YOU--You'll FEEL BETTER, be MORE OPTIMISTIC, be MORE ENERGETIC, be MORE DETERMINED, be MORE INTERESTED, be MORE JOYFUL, will exercise MORE & have FEWER ILLNESSES!!!!!!!!!
So, besides sin & EVIL being in our world, maybe the ones of us who are TRYING to be 'GOOD' SHOULD ALSO REMEMBER TO BE MORE THANKFUL/GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything we have/will have/have had COMES FROM OUR GOD--even the air we breathe!!!!!!!!!
So, my challenge to you, TODAY, is to consciously REMEMBER to be MORE THANKFUL EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!! It will MAKE YOUR LIFE HAPPIER--whether you're in CABO or not!!!!!!!!!

The BEST part of the article, I thought, was where it listed ALL the THINGS being GRATEFUL will do FOR YOU--You'll FEEL BETTER, be MORE OPTIMISTIC, be MORE ENERGETIC, be MORE DETERMINED, be MORE INTERESTED, be MORE JOYFUL, will exercise MORE & have FEWER ILLNESSES!!!!!!!!!
So, besides sin & EVIL being in our world, maybe the ones of us who are TRYING to be 'GOOD' SHOULD ALSO REMEMBER TO BE MORE THANKFUL/GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything we have/will have/have had COMES FROM OUR GOD--even the air we breathe!!!!!!!!!
So, my challenge to you, TODAY, is to consciously REMEMBER to be MORE THANKFUL EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!! It will MAKE YOUR LIFE HAPPIER--whether you're in CABO or not!!!!!!!!!

HOMEMADE QUISEDILLAS--YUM!!!
My hubby & I were eating out the other night & had some 'Quisedillas' (sorry if that's spelled wrong) & he said--'WE COULD DO THESE'--AT HOME!!! So, we tried, for the first time, the other night & they were GREAT!!!
He found some 'HOMEMADE' Flour Tortillas at our Grocery Store (which were a BIT harder to separate, but tasted MUCH BETTER than the 'regular' kind). He then cooked up 3 Chicken Breasts & cut them up; and, then we had 3 different shredded cheeses, of course; but he also layered some 'Sun-Dried Tomato Spread' from California on them; and then he added jalapenos to his & I put green olives on mine & cooked them in the oven--YUM! YUM!!
We forgot to put anything on the top of them & he says he would have liked some Olive Oil brushed on the tops of his & when I warmed my leftovers up, I put some butter & then more CHEESE on top of mine & they were EVEN BETTER than the ones you get in the Best Mexican Restaurants!!!!!!! And, they were BETTER the 2nd day, like Lasagne is.
Really EASY & pretty cheap & VERY nutritious & HOMEMADE--you can't get better than HOMEMADE, right??!!!!! I just HAD to pass this on--TRY THEM--THEY'RE REALLY GOOD!!!!! I would think even the YOUNGER kiddos would like them--put their favorite toppings in there.

A 'NEAT' NEW PRODUCT/PACKAGING!!!
I was looking for some more Dishwashing Detergent--for the sink/by hand--the other day & 'FOUND' some 'NEW' DAWN 'Siimple Pleasures' that has an BUILT-IN Air Freshener in the bottom of the bottle.
I bought the 'APPLE & PEAR' fragrance & I just LOVE IT!!!!! I didn't use to KEEP my dishwashing liquid UP/by my sink, BUT I DO NOW, because it makes OUR WHOLE KITCHEN SMELL SO FRESH, LIKE FRUIT!!! It's the GREEN one & STILL is 'hard' on GREASE!!!
I forget the other choices of fragrance, but I do remember there were choices, and I can tell you, the 'APPLE & PEAR' one is SUPER!!

ANOTHER 'GREAT' FIND...
I read recently about Eva Longoria (the 'Desperate Housewife' who is about to marry Tony Parker, from the SA Spurs, ON 7/7/07--neat, huh??!!!) that she never has ANY problem falling asleep because she cleans her face with a 'Facial Sauna' before going to bed.
So, I've been looking for ONE OF THOSE & finally FOUND ONE at 'Bed, Bath & Beyond' the other day--it's called: "Revlon's Ionic Hot and Cold FACIAL SAUNA/SPA" & IT WORKS--not only does it CLEAN YOUR FACE--all the dirt comes out & in a very SHORT amount of time, it makes your pores smaller, then; AND helps you fall asleep FASTER because you're MORE RELAXED!!!--VERY NEAT, huh???!!!!!
The cost is VERY reasonable--something like $30--I just HAD to pass this on, since I LOVE mine so much, ALREADY==ENJOY!

SOME THINGS I'VE SEEN RECENTLY.....
Just the other day at the Grocery Store, I was finished shopping & walking to my vehicle--a 1999 Isuzu RODEO--(that I've had for quite a few years, now)--and, it's RED--a 'dark' red--and, as I was trying to OPEN MY DOOR--to unload my groceries--I realized my/the door WASN'T opening & I looked inside & saw a DIFFERENT interior for the seats AND there were papers on the 'passenger' seat, which I did not leave in MY Rodeo, so I LOOKED UP & MY Rodeo was 2 MORE spaces down/over & in between them, on the opposite/facing side was ANOTHER, RED RODEO, JUST LIKE MINE--so, there were 3 of them IN A ROW--(and mine was the 3rd one!)!!!!!!!!! I had NEVER seen that before--3 RED RODEO'S IN A ROW & may never again, but it was QUITE NEAT!!!!!!!!!!
Also, I have noticed recently that there is the CUTEST, dark Gray, Carin Terrier that lives on the CORNER of 143rd & Mur-Len in our town & he's usually OUT in his BIG back yard RUNNING around & he is SO VERY CUTE running--I think his legs are shorter than both our Carin's--and, besides being SMALLER than our Opie--WHO'S BD IS TODAY, the 12th--HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!--he looks just like him. He is SO CUTE running around in his back yard that every time I pass that intersection, I 'look' for him & HE MAKES ME SMILE & LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!!
He's just THAT CUTE!!!!!!!!!
And, on the way home, today, I saw another doggie being walked by his 'Mama' & I think he was a PUPPY--one of those 'Rat Terrier's' maybe--that are all white except for one brown spot around ONE EYE, you know???!!!!!!!!! I bet he didn't weigh 3 pounds!!!!!!!! He was SO CUTE!!!! Almost looked MORE like a 'RAT'--HA!!!!!
So, BE SURE to keep LOOKING AROUND you, as you're driving--and, still BE SAFE, of course--and SEE what's "OUT THERE" to amuse us & make us SMILE & BE HAPPY!!!!!!!! I've certainly gotten/SEEN 'my share' lately & wanted to pass it on to all of you. One place we normally DON'T LOOK UP AT much is OUR SKY, especially AT NIGHT--try that!!!!!!!!! MUCH LOVE!!!

'I CAN SEE CLEARLY, NOW'.......or
'Oh Happy Day' or 'I'm NOT that far OFF'!!!!! All could be good titles for this post about my recent LASIKS SURGERY on both eyes. That last one is an EXACT QUOTE from my Dr. Grin--I know I told him he SHOULD have been an DENTIST--& he's going to have 2 kids become doctors, but they're NOT going to be Dentists, EITHER!!! I also asked him IF I could have that typed out & SIGNED by him!!!!!
The surgery itself went SUPER--only just a bit 'UNcomfortable' & my left eye NEVER hurt, AT ALL--isn't that AMAZING?!! My right eye FELT like I could FEEL where the first 'cut' went in--maybe just a tad too deep??? But, it went away & I was TOTALLY PAIN FREE in 2 DAYS--not bad, huh?!!
I can see our clock, at night & during the daytime, FROM our bed--YEA!!!!!!!!! Although, I don't wake up much during the night to want to know--it's a GOOD THING!
My eyesight has fluctuated some--it was clearer on Wednesday than on Thursday & Friday last week--weird, I thought, but I called & the 'lady' said that it was 'NORMAL'. Okay, and it's NOT 'exact', YET--I need to be a BIT more PATIENT & WAIT for another couple of weeks to pass & it should be 'RIGHT ON' by then & just getting BETTER for the next 3 to 6 MONTHS, even!!!!!
So, even though I'm needing otc (over the counter) reading glasses to read & type on our computer, for now, that SHOULD PASS & I SHOULD be able to READ WITHOUT GLASSES in a while--YEA!!!!!!!!! I wonder IF I need a 'note' to go with my Driver's License, now--that 'says' my eyesight is corrected by glasses?????!!
It is VERY NEAT not needing to put my glasses on every morning when I get up!!!!!
SO, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND any of you 'out there' to GET THIS SURGERY, if you can & IF you live around here--give me a call or email & I will GIVE YOU Dr. Grin's number--HE'S simply WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
They will TAKE CARE of my eyes & ANY 'problems' that MIGHT arise for the NEXT YEAR on my one-time fee of ONLY $1,700 per eye!!!!! It's MUCH CHEAPER than it used to be & all computerized!!!
It's SUCH a BLESSING to be able to SEE GOOD with no 'on-going' correction!!!!!!!!!

THIS ONE 'CAME TO ME' FROM 'ABOVE'!!!
I've been thinking about: 'THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT'--from Galatians 5:22-23, and in the past I've even tried to 'work' on some of them, from time to time, SPECIFICALLY--you know--TRYING to be MORE PATIENT, HAVE MORE JOY & SELF-CONTROL!
BUT, something 'came to me' as I was typing up those Bible verses for our 5th Grade Class this Sunday--THESE ARE FRUIT--like FROM A TREE--and, a Apple or Orange or Lemon TREE DON'T have to 'WORK' on producing their FRUIT--they JUST DO, because they ARE that tree.
So, MAYBE instead of my 'working' on 'becoming' better, I need to 'work on' WHO I AM--just BE MORE CHRIST-LIKE & have a CLOSER RELATIONSHIP with God & His Spirit IN ME & then I will 'automatically'/in season PRODUCE MY 'FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT'.
Sounds simple, but not 'easy'--takes time & effort & getting into God's WORD MORE. I already 'pray without ceasing' pretty good--I'm sure it could get better--but, once our 'boys' went off to College, I really GOT INTO THAT! I DO 'talk to/with God' ALL DAY LONG, off & on--even OUT LOUD sometimes, when I'm by myself (& our doggies--they're used to it/me). I feel like saying my REQUESTS OUT LOUD really 'gets the message' to God that I'M SERIOUS--plus, I repeat them, too, which I think is ok--I know He HEARD me the first time, but that way, it SHOWS Him HOW important it is TO ME!!!
Well, didn't mean to 'get off' on the Prayer 'thing'--BUT, I've never heard the 'FRUIT/TREE/WHO YOU ARE' thing before & wondered if I just 'MISSED IT' or IF no one has ever SAID IT???!!!!!!!!!
If not, I think it's RIGHT & TRUE & needs to be PASSED ON!!!

MY ANSWERS TO BEING 'TAGGED' BY SHALEE

#1--I still know & can understand a LOT of 'FRENCH'--after studying it for 2 years in high school--40 years ago!
#2--Same goes for 'SHORTHAND'--36 years ago!
#3--DoctorS told me (us) I'd probably NEVER have CHILDREN & we had TWO MIRACLES and now have THREE GRANDbabies--PRAISE & THANK YOU, GOD!!!
#4--When I was young--I would lift up my SKIRT to rub my belly button. But, I stopped at age '23'--just kidding, I was actually '6'!!!!!! (I'm not proud of this one, but hubby said to add it.)
#5--I attended Christian schools all my life & was truly SHOCKED when I first heard folks cursing & lying & just being RUDE in my first job out of College--at ASU!!!!
#6--I have SUNG in some Chorus for at least 25 YEARS!!!!!
#7--I've NEVER broken a bone in my body (YET!)--BUT, my hubby has broken 32, so he's broken enough for OUR WHOLE FAMILY--although our AR Grandbaby broke his LEG tripping over a tennis ball last Summer at the Lake, so he's off to a FAST start, doesn't he?!!!!!
